Dear Sir ,

The International Symposium on Fuels and Lubricants (ISFL) is a bi-ennial event covering advances in fuels and lubricants with a focus on the futuristic trends. This technology oriented symposium was first organized in 1997 and it has over the years gained an important place in the schedule of international event, attracting a large number of participants from hydrocarbon industry, academia, and OEMs. Over 500 delegates representing 20 countries participated and more than 130 papers presented in 18 oral and 3 poster sessions in the last ISFL event during March 9-12, 2008 at New Delhi. Thus, ISFL has become an ideal platform for downstream hydrocarbon industry to exchange innovative ideas and forge business relationships.

I am pleased to inform you that 7th ISFL is scheduled to be hosted at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi during March 9-12, 2010. This symposium is being held just before the implementation of EURO-IV quality fuels in 11 cities, and EURO-III fuels in rest of the country from Ist April 2010.The schedule of this symposium hence becomes more significant in this vibrant situation. Also, India has already announced Bio-fuel policy 2020 according to which the share of alternative fuels and bio-fuels are expected to grow substantially. While this symposium will address latest advances in lubricant technology, it will also deliberate on the frontier areas of downstream hydrocarbon sector, new alternative options of energy such as H-CNG, Hydrogen and next generation bio-fuels. The technical topics of the conference cover the whole gamut of downstream hydrocarbon value chain and associated business. Some areas for technical deliberations are suggested here, but are not limiting to what you would like to bring out before fellow participants of this mega event.
